Fishing4Compliments are a 5 piece indie/folk/pop band from Huddersfield comprised of; Eileen Wattam (a.k.a Eileen Alanna) singer-songwriter; Ashley Wattam (rhythm guitar); James Alexander (Lead Guitar & backing vocals); Steve Dyson (Bass Guitar & Backing vocals) and David Sharp (Drums & Percussion). The band evolved organically around Eileen’s songs which have been described as enigmatic and intriguing and fundamentally reflect the hidden story of her life. Combining their diverse and eclectic mix of influences Fishing4Compliments have developed their own; distinctive, melodic, catchy sound and have had a lot of fun bringing their songs to an array of quirky spaces and places, live music venues, pubs and festivals across the North of England and beyond for over 10 years. Finally deciding they would like a record of their journey with the songs of Fishing4Compliments they recently released their debut album produced by The Dunwells called 'Off The Isle Of Somewhere' and they are looking forward to plenty more fun live gigs and to recording more of the many remaining songs that they have been developing and gigging together over the years.
