Hidden away, in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire town of Holmfirth, lies not only the relics of a certain 1970’s TV sitcom, (IYKYK) but something a little less Yorkshire and a little more ‘Yeehaw’!

Holmfirth Tavern was born in May 2019, the long time dream of it’s owner Chris, a country music and Americana enthusiast through and through. Having spent many of his younger years working across the pond, in the US, Chris has not only honed his craft as a world class mixologist and bartender, but been heavily influenced by American culture too. He worked for Walt Disney World Orlando, no less, in one of the park’s most prestigious establishments and as a result Chris prides himself on upholding the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction. Not only that, being so well travelled, he certainly has some stories to tell too! (just ask him about his wild trip to New Orleans!)

This is all showcased at The Tavern, with it’s rustic and welcoming feel, taking inspiration from Nashville’s dive bars and restaurants. Country music is guaranteed, with LIVE music every Friday and Saturday evening. We feel privileged to be able to bring you some rising stars from the US, along with a great line up from the British country music scene too. (Take it from us, it exists and it’s bursting with talent!)

Our menu offers traditional American cuisine, think juicy burgers, mouth watering mac ‘n’ cheese, buffalo wings, chilli topped nachos, fries and much more!

We offer a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, craft ale, lager and wine, there really is something for everyone behind the bar…

…and when Chris isn’t behind it, he can be found on our stage upstairs, playing something country on his guitar!
