The Bondurants are a Leeds-based Alt-Country/Pop/Rock quintet formed in 2011. Over the past 12 years the strong friendship among the band members has allowed them to sharpen their songwritting and live performance skills, leading to the release of three EPs and a dedicated fanbase. The latest EP “Take The Night Away” was produced by David Watts (Kaiser Chiefs, Richard Hawley) and recorded at The Chairworks in Castleford. It features four tracks that showcase the bands diverse musical influences, including Tom Petty, Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, The Pretenders and John Mayer.
The Bondurants have received high critical with Croon Magazine praising their “Widescreen rock and country influences” and music journalists comparing their sound to that of The Kings of Leon. The band has performed on various stages and festivals, including The BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds Festival and Bingley Music Festival, and has supported NME Award show headliners The Jezabels and Australian singer-songwriter Dan Parsons. Their music has been featured on Alan Raww’s BBC Introducing Radio Show and played on regular rotation, and the band has also performed exclusive live sessions.
